what is breathwork?

Breathwork is Sacred Hygiene. It is an opportunity to cleanse the emotional body of any residue that has built up or gotten stuck in your physical self or your belief system. This active guided meditation enables us to let go of the day to day mind and tap into the many other levels of our being. Through the breath we are able to viscerally feel where our blocks lie and actively move through them, getting to the deeper, clearer parts of our being. It is a dynamic and wild ride.

Because we all already have the gift of breath, breathwork is for everyone: even if you have anxiety or panic attacks; even if you have asthma; even if you experience chronic pain; even if you’re pregnant; and even if you're processing traumatic experience. Most of us are carrying around pain, fear, trauma, and outdated beliefs about ourselves and the world around us, which all live tucked away in our cells, in various corners of our bodies. Breathwork is a simple tool that supports us in finally shedding those heavy weights and strengthening our inner knowing and connection to our higher selves.

Breathwork can change emotional default settings, lifetime patterns of depression, anxiety and addiction, connect you to your intuition, help you access your creativity and open your heart to increased gratitude and self-love. It is a self-healing practice that has changed many lives and is an efficient and effective way to emotionally detox. The experience moves stuck emotional energy and facilitates release of strong emotions like anger and grief. It leaves you feeling softer, open and less burdened. In addition, breathwork has been witnessed to lead to major shifts and breakthroughs in creative projects, as it opens up a unique receptive mind space for ideas and inspiration to come through clearly and be received. We are all fundamentally creative, whether we use our creativity consciously or not; breathwork is for all of us, including anyone who would like to be more in touch with their innate creativity, whether to support conception, sexual expression, or finding their unique voice and self-expression.

 
 

application

Breathwork can be applied in one on one or in a group session setting. Private sessions give you the chance to go deeper and address whatever you're working on more directly. Sessions begin with a conversation to bring any blocks or resistance to the surface, then flow into a guided breathwork practice during which we'll gently explore whatever resistance may arise, release deeply entrenched old beliefs that no longer serve you, and see where it takes us. It's fun, deep, and transformational work.

The power of breathing together in a group session amplifies the sacred container of support as we all contribute our open hearted, light seeking energies to the mix.  You add to the collective when you show up in community to heal.
