Zone technique

Developed in 1931 by Dr. Thurman Fleet, the Zone Technique (originally known as Zone Therapy) is rooted in the concept that the body is divided into six potential zones, each susceptible to disruption by emotional, physical, or chemical stressors which can manifest as various diseases and discomforts.

Central to the Zone Technique is the analogy of the body functioning like an electrical device, where each zone is overseen by a specific brain center formed during embryonic development, acting as a "positive pole." Additionally, negative poles are identified in specific spinal cord areas according to Zone methodology. When a disturbance occurs, the brain centers may essentially "short out," leading to dysfunction.

It is the goal of Zone Therapy, then, to take these systems and identify which brain centers are out of sync, causing issues within the body. By addressing and restoring balance to these zones through targeted adjustments and therapeutic techniques, the Zone Technique aims to realign the body's energy flow, enabling optimal health and well-being.

  • This system involves the pineal gland, pituitary gland, thyroid, uterus and ovaries, prostate and gonads, and several other glands. They are responsible for important bodily functions related to memory, energy, appetite regulation, sleep, and relaxation.

Imbalances in the brain centers that regulate hormone production can lead to a diverse range of symptoms impacting various aspects of health and well-being. Some common symptoms associated with such imbalances include:

    - Memory issues
    - Energy fluctuations (experiencing excessive or insufficient energy levels)
    - Digestive problems
    - Slowed metabolism
    - Difficulty regulating body temperature
    - Sleep disturbances
    - Hormonal imbalances
    - Poor concentration
    - Heightened irritability and temper
    - Negative outlook or poor mental health

Addressing these imbalances through techniques like the Zone Technique, which focuses on restoring balance to the body's energy flow and brain centers, can help alleviate these symptoms and support overall health and vitality.

  • The eliminative system includes all of the organs involved in waste elimination, such as the kidneys, bladders, skin, and lungs. This system is designed to reduce toxin buildup within the body which, in turn, helps strengthen immune function, eases respiratory function, and reduces bloating.

Imbalances in the elimination system can manifest in a variety of symptoms affecting different parts of the body. Some common symptoms associated with an imbalance in the elimination system include:

    - Sinus infections
    - Ear infections
    - Chest congestion
    - Headaches/Migraines
    - Kidney stones
    - Urinary tract infections
    - Constipation
    - Diarrhea
    - Skin rashes/lesions
    - Eczema
    - General aches and pains
    - Fever

Addressing these imbalances through therapies that target the root cause of the issue can help alleviate these symptoms and restore optimal functioning of the elimination system. The Zone Technique, which aims to rebalance the body's energy flow and address disturbances in specific zones, may be beneficial in addressing these symptoms related to elimination system imbalances.

  • Think of this system as the major highway system in our body. It involves our brain, spinal cord, and the billions of nerves that go to every single organ, tissue, and cell in our body. When the brain wants the body to do something it sends its message through this system and vice versa, the body tells the brain what it is experiencing. Both directions on this superhighway need to be working in harmony for our body to work effectively and efficiently.

When we have an imbalance in the nervous system we may experience symptoms such as:

    -Poor sleep
    -Anxiety
    -Depression
    -Nerve pain
    -Reproductive issues

Addressing these imbalances in the nervous system is crucial for maintaining overall health and well-being. The Zone Technique, which aims to rebalance the body's energy flow and address disturbances in specific zones linked to the nervous system, may be beneficial in restoring harmony to this vital communication network in the body.

  • The digestive system consists of the mouth, esophagus, stomach, liver, gallbladder, pancreas and small and large intestines. The human body needs certain nutrients to survive and the digestive system is responsible for taking these nutrients from the food sources we eat and breaking them down so they are more available for the cells that need them. This helps normalize weight, while also boosting energy.

The huge part of digestion is how well our body assimilates that food. Are we able to break down the food properly and get it to every cell in our body?

When we have an imbalance in the digestive system we may experience symptoms such as:

    -Food allergies
    -IBS
    -Heartburn/Acid Reflux
    -Bloating and Flatulence
    -Constipation
    -Diarrhea
    -Vitamin deficiencies
    -Headaches/Migraines
    -Fatigue
    -Poor memory
    -Poor concentration

  • The muscular system includes muscles, tendons, and ligaments as all of these soft tissues are responsible for helping the body move more freely and without pain or tenderness. This system is also responsible for our strength, flexibility, and ability to retain balance.

Some common symptoms associated with imbalances in the muscular system include:

    -Pain in any body part
    -Weakness
    -Easily fatigued
    -Imbalance
    -TMJ issues
    -Fibromyalgia
    -Disc herniation
    -Muscle tension

  • To function efficiently, the body’s cells need to intake nutrients and oxygen and expel waste. The circulatory system assists with this process by circulating blood-based “carriers” responsible for picking up and dropping off these substances, sending them through the body at a normal pressure and rate.

Some common symptoms associated with imbalances in the circulatory system include:

    -Lymphatic system problems
    -Heart disease
    -Thyroid issues
    -Memory issues
    -Anxiety
    -Depression
    -Intolerance to cold
    -High/Low blood pressure
    -High cholesterol
    -Heart arrhythmia
